The Insignificant Me
The Insignificant me

The one thing that makes people quit what they did is when they start to question themselves. Am I capable enough? Am I worthy of thriving in life? What makes me entitled to success in the area I want to? That questions often come across our minds.

I often devalued myself in many ways. Some traumas in the past bad experiences in relationships make me think lower of myself. It makes me think I do not deserve what I have today. Hence the hard work I’ve been putting on. I am still never satisfied.

The world measurement standardized the feeling of my insignificant. Day in and out, we only investigate our emotions; we determine many things by feelings. The feelings of inadequacy come from our
insecurity; therefore, everything must be according to the book of human law. Not according to God’s design.

There are days when I question many things about my existence. I think my value should be higher than just how I feel. When I read about the world’s creation, I think everything has been well planned and thoroughly thoughtful on how God wants us to live comfortably in this world. I want to draw a little further on how we should see our significance from God’s perspective.

By designing day and night, the land, and the sea, resting on the seventh day, providing beautiful gardens and plants for us to consume, on so on, God had carefully created a grand design for us. If He doesn’t care about us, He will not care about how we should live.

Another significant of us reflect on how He sent Jesus to the world and made Him fully human.  While He was a human, He had to go through the suffering that even He couldn’t bear when He had to die on the cross—the reason God made Him as a human, so that we can relate to His suffering.  And because we are so significant in His sight.

When I think about those events, my insignificant feeling just fades away.
My life is too valuable just to compare with my feelings of insecurity.  The shame that I have has been washed away when He was on the cross.
My insecurity was wiped out when He came to the world and took us as His children.

Try to see your life to a macroscope instead of the microscope and see how privileged we are to be able to live in this world, fully equipped with so many things around us.
According to His design, all the things around us have been created to support us to function and live as we were planned to. Therefore, we must think about our purpose in life, which alone will make us feel significant.
